Angela N. Fawcett, BSW, RSW
Executive Director
I am Angela Fawcett BSW, RSW located in Edmonton. I am honored to step into the role of Executive Director for SWAA. I have a passion for ongoing learning and professional development and as such am pursuing my MSW through Wilfred Laurier with a focus on social justice and leadership.
In previous leadership roles, including my time as Executive Director of a non profit, I focused on fostering supportive environments, enhancing community partnerships, and influencing policy and social change.
I am excited to collaborate with members and stakeholders to promote best practices, enhance professional development opportunities, and continue advocating for the essential work we do in supporting individuals, families, and communities.
Evetta Solomon, BSW, MSc
Membership Coordinator
I’m Evetta (She/Her), BSW, MSc (Childhood Studies), and I reside in Edmonton. I am honored to bring my academic and professional background in Social work to the forefront as I continue to support individuals, families, and communities. My experience spans Social work practice in domestic violence advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and education and training, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care and culturally responsive approaches. I have had the privilege of contributing to social work education both locally and internationally, developing and facilitating training programs that equip frontline workers to support clients. My global perspective has enriched my practice, allowing me to approach my work with a deep commitment to anti-oppressive practice, diversity, and social justice.
I look forward to connecting with and learning from members as we continue advocating for meaningful change in the field of social work.
