Update on Disaggregation of AHS
On November 10, 2023, we provided information and thoughts on the United Conservative Party’s plans to disaggregate Alberta Health Services into four separate organizations:
Primary Care organization
Acute Care organization
Continuing Care organization
Mental Health and Addiction organization
We encourage all social workers (and all healthcare professionals) to engage with the government at every opportunity to encourage evidence-based and compassionate policies as the government works to disaggregate Alberta’s healthcare system.
