Welcome to the new directors!

We shared some exciting updates at our Second Annual General Meeting on September 24, 2024. The event opened with a heartfelt blessing from Kokhum Kathy Hamelin from Edmonton and concluded with an inspiring presentation by Dr. Linda Kongnetiman-Pansa, a fellow SWAA member and esteemed social work leader.

The Board of Directors is excited to welcome Arlene Eaton-Erickson, Levis Kabahizi, Roshan Kunjachan, and Julia Nicholls, who were elected by acclamation. Their bios are available here. In addition, we’re excited to introduce Angela Fawcett as our new Executive Director, with her official start date in mid-October. We’re eager to work alongside these talented individuals as they help shape the future of the association.

The new directors will begin at the October board meeting, and stay tuned for updates as we make plans and initiatives for the coming year.
